Rixonway Kitchens Supports Local Community With Bulb Planting Day
Dewsbury’s Rixonway Kitchens has helped to brighten up a Doncaster cul-de-sac with a bulb planting scheme which will see the donation and sowing of autumn bulbs in resident’s gardens and tubs.
Dan Jones, and Donna Mallinson, Sales Development Manager and Contracts Manager at Rixonway Kitchens, donated their time alongside representatives of contractor Wates Living Space (Wates) to plant the bulbs in Coronation Gardens in Warmsworth.
The properties, managed by St Ledger Homes on behalf of Doncaster Council, each received perennial bulbs which will flower annually to leave a sustainable, colourful reminder of the planting day. Rixonway initially became involved with the properties during a recent refurbishment programme when it supplied kitchens to the community.
Donna Mallinson said: “Rixonway Kitchens was delighted to be involved in the scheme to work with local residents to brighten up their gardens with some pretty flowers. Each of the properties has recently been refurbished inside by Wates and we hope our new gardens will help to ‘refurbish’ the community.
Formed in 1978, Yorkshire-based Rixonway Kitchens has over 30 years’ experience in supplying kitchens to affordable housing and the public sector and is the only UK kitchen manufacturer dedicated to community regeneration.
