RIXONWAY KITCHENS MAKES WAVES AT OCEANS ESTATE


In a contract worth £350,000 over two and half years, Dewsbury-based social housing kitchen manufacturer, Rixonway Kitchens has partnered with building contractor Wates to provide over 550 kitchens to the Ocean Estate Regeneration project in East London.

Part of a £200 million regeneration project by ALMO Tower Hamlets and the East Thames Consortium, Rixonway Kitchens is supplying kitchens from its Trieste range.

The work includes existing flats being brought up to the Decent Homes standard and by the end of the project in 2013, 780 properties will have been improved. An initial pilot of 170 properties has already been supplied by Rixonway which was completed two months early and on budget.

Rixonway, has previously supplied kitchens from its Trieste range for the first stage of the Stockport Homes’ £1.02 million Brinnington development comprising 17 modern timber-frame family and professional homes.

Formed in 1978, Yorkshire-based Rixonway Kitchens has over 30 years’ experience in supplying kitchens to affordable housing and the public sector and is the only UK kitchen manufacturer dedicated to community regeneration.
