Greener Transportation

At Rixonway we have trialed a number of initiatives which are aimed at encouraging ‘green transportation’. The CO² emissions that derive from our 66 company vehicle fleet are measured and offset. An offset payment is made by the company to Climate Care to help fund projects that absorb, reduce or avoid equivalent amounts of Greenhouse gases elsewhere.

Furthermore, all of our delivery vehicles meet stringent Euro 4&5 standards for the control of CO² emissions.

Rixonway Kitchens HGV’s are fitted with “Greener” tyres which, saves the company up to 520 litres per vehicle, has a better tyre footprint, and improved wear pattern, load carrying capacity increases of up to 500kg and up to 7% more grip.
